Oregon-born Ivan Medhurst Woolley graduated from the old Oregon Medical School (1919) and became a general practitioner for 10 years. He then transitioned into radiology, which he practiced for another 32 years. This career included faculty status at the University of Oregon Medical School until his retirement (1962). A long-time member of the Multnomah County Medical Society (1923) he was a natural choice to become Society Historian (1966).The responses elicited by his historical survey are among the most fascinating of the collection.The collection contains a variety of papers, correspondence, bound texts, office ledgers, artifacts, and photographs.
